I love how innocent they are here. Wording is everything. And Ash just blew it out of the park xD

if anything had happened she would have stolen the covers. that is just what happens.

Bearing in mind there position the last time we saw them, even readers need more information to know what happened. This needs the reader to make assumptions, and Ash isn't helping.

@Umph readers shouldn't have any issue with understanding what happened even if Ash isn't helping.. Charlie on the other hand is most likely wondering what Ash means "my first" ...(sleeping in a bed together? Sleeping with a time traveler? -possible Charlie thoughts) He could also be wondering how he got from the left side to the right side of the bed (as only the readers and Ash know).

I love how Sam and Charlie had parallel WTF experiences when they were separated. :)

I'm thinking this is part of the shattered lamp. When they ran out of the house, they were to the side of the window and Charlie turned and pulled Ash 90 degrees...away from the direction of the window and it's shattered glass.
But...Ash should have said "Ouch" when it actually pierced her foot and she would have been hopping or at least on tiptoe on that foot the rest of the way.

I'm confused. They're 10 years old. That would be Fifth Grade in the U.S. Why would they be given worksheets for THREE grades lower?

"girl style on the buttons"?? What do you mean?
Also, frame 2--no buttons...frame 3--buttons...frame 4--no buttons...frame 5--top button only...then back to no buttons.

My, you people are heterosexist-clueless. When I was that age, I had an extended hospital stay. My favorite nurse was very kind and gentle. She was also all curves and the only nurse to wear a white nurse's dress with a zipper, which was always alluringly unzipped to show some cleavage.
I was probably blushing whenever she leaned over to check my IV or held me near her bosom to reach behind me to adjust my pillow. Mmmm. Memories. (Yes, I liked girls at age 10. And I wore pants whenever I could, although I always kept my long hair.)

I have to wonder about little Sam (Charlie) being shown in shy, demure, pigeon-toed poses. That is something that is almost exclusively a (socialized) "girl thang". Look at clothing and other ads with people aged 6-26. The males stand feet apart, chest out, arms relaxed, chin up...like Ash in Frame 4; the females stand feet demurely together or pointed in, poor posture or looking frail, arms in (unless trying to be sassy or sexy), chin &/or eyes slightly down...like Charlie/Sam in that frame. Hmmm.

Oh, and those shorts look like a skirt, and Charlie/Sam is wearing short sleeves, too, while Ash if fully covered in long sleeves and long pants. SOOO, opposite the usual gender roles.
Also, I have much experience seeing "girls" who look like "boys" and Ash does not look like a tomboy/future lesbian to me. Ash's face looks like male to me.

@Norbu: Please improve your spelling and writing. Hint: If there is a red squiggle under the word as you type, it's spelled wrong.)
Bigger, not biger. Bigger than, not bigger then. Really, not realy. People, not peopple. Liking, not likeing. Different, not diferent. Faded, not faided. Actually, not actualy. Sense, not sence. Deserves, not deservs.
Please.

Why wouldn't Ash look good in a tie? Many girls/women look GREAT in ties (and other "menswear").
