The assassin looks as if he is having trouble doing the deed...plot twist ahoy? If he was professional or fully willing Charlie would be shot or dead already, just my opinion. I can't wait to see where this is going.

So... Steps back, cuts his feet, falls over backwards, bullet misses, matrix wannabe gets tackled by ash/dvd shelves toppled on top of him, Sam runs down the stairs, bad guy runs out the already bullet cracked window.

Charlie is going to need counseling after this... first the whole time travel/kidnap scene, then the public humiliation of being pantsed in public and now he and his friend are threatened with a gun in his own house... That would f*** any preteen up.
