steveha Sure, he killed a few billion people, but Memnon seems to have his good points. And I guess he's sorry now that he's had time to think about it: "...it's not what your mother would have wanted" (I'm assuming he counts Eos as the "your mother" from that sentence). Still not sure exactly what is going on but I think the story will get there soon.

davemcnab Having spent most of my useful(?) life teaching kids this age and reading science fiction I don't understand this, but I am moved by it. Thank you. Now that I have found it and read the whole thing in 2 days I will keep up and maybe the fog will lift.
