When I checked the comic just now, my stereo random-play pulled up Dar Williams' "Empire", which starts out, "Who's afraid of the sun?"

I just binged this entire comic, and I must say that I think it's amazing. Though I got a little (a lot) confused about what was happening after Charlie died. So Eos went and built Memmon. He murdered everyone, and then realized that what he did was wrong, created Emi, and went back to save Charlie from... Rothwell? I'm still not sure who he is? Is he Memnon or what? I would appreciate if someone could fill me in on what I'm missing here. (Also, Emi better not get in the way of my Charlie X Ash ship!)
