You're right, NEAto, and what's that thing/those things hanging down from the landing right next to the top of the stairs in panel 2? Looks like five tubes, or ropes, or cables, and we just see them in #3 and #4 as well. Also, the mail slot to the left of the door in panel #1 is stuffed.

Full mail slot and packages stacked on the porch. Unopened packages inside the entryway. It appears as though Eos hasn't been home for quite a while. Plus empty wheelchair at top of the stairs...Very surreal..

Relax... I'll need some information, first

This went from exciting fun buddy comic to tense emotional drama so *fast*... and yet, I'm even more invested in the story than before, so it's *working*!

Tober, you're getting quite adept at tucking information/speculation fuel into the artwork.
Johnny appears to have the access code to Eos's apartment. When was the last time they spoke?
The unopened packages inside suggest Eos was alive and responsive when they were delivered, while the mail and parcels outside are more worrying (cops, EMTs, and firefighters would be concerned that the occupant was down or dead). The also tell us the stuff is inbound - it's unlikely she'd be having that many parcels delivered there if she was moving out.
However, we know Eos is not only an intellectual genius but probabaly one hell of a practical engineer. What is all that stuff, and what the heck is she building? Whatever it is, the rigging or plumbing or wiring or whatever hanging from the landing is sure to be part of it.
With time travel and perhaps even ancient gods already a theme in the story, we can't assume she needs to go through the door to leave the apartment.
So far the story's been pretty much set in our reality with some sci-fi elements - buckle in and stand by for phase shift, folks.

@Phlatus I bet she's building a time machine

Just the basic facts, can you show me where it hurts?
