I remember I once had a lovely conversation with an older fellow several years ago and the topic of sports entered the convo and he seemed really surprised when I shrugged and said I wasn't really into any sports. It wasn't until my mother called my name to leave that he scrunched up his face in a slightly baffled manner and asked, "I'm sorry, what did you say your name was again?" And when I told him (definite girl's name) he tilted his head to the side for a second before his eyes got wide and he started apologizing profusely saying he'd thought I was a boy. To be fair, I was thirteen, not very developed, and I have a deep voice for a girl. He'd said he had just thought I was a guy rocking the shoulder length hair look. Also he said, he hadn't had his glasses with him and that contributed.I wasn't offended, I just thought it was an amusing little mishap.
