Hoo boy. If Charlie is 11, and Sam is now 27, then if Charlie is Sam's son... Sam would have been about 16 when Charlie was born and possibly as young as 15 when Charlie was conceived. Kate is about 3 years younger than Sam and she could possibly know who the 'lucky mom' might have been. Sam, you better come clean or think fast because there is no talking your way out of this little white lie.

He should have just gone with the adoption cover story. "Yeah, I decided to adopt a son... what an amazing coincidence that he looks so much like a younger version of me. That's my story and I'm sticking to it." Totally believable.

As much as I agree with the adoption excuse that ship has sailed unless he has another good excuse for the DNA test he has admitted to. Gender confirmation won't wash.
