If the teacher wasn't so late, he could have got a tv and they could have watched a movie or something.

So the last day of school was April 1st?
They only get the extra that nobody wanted. I demand only the freshest of second grade papers!

My only quibble is "second grade." That's an Americanism. We'd say "grade two."
I smiled so big when he mentioned those work sheets. I'm an American, but I can recall doing those 'lower grade' surplus work sheets for fun on the last day of school(as well as helping the teacher straighten up the classroom). I actually enjoyed doing them, but then I've always been a big nerd. This strip took me back in time. Love it. :)
My big contribution to the clean up was to bash the blackboard erasers together.

I used to love doing lower grade worksheets, because of how smart I felt when I got them all right.

@Gruff Maybe the teacher is actually American?

I'm confused. They're 10 years old. That would be Fifth Grade in the U.S. Why would they be given worksheets for THREE grades lower?
