PrimordialRageChick Eos was in a wheelchair after the incident apparently. :(
Shadow Just nod if you can hear me.
Kid Cthulhu See? I told you she got hit in the stomach. She's like Barbara Gordon now.
Idunno Well, can't say I expected this. Or anything that happened so far.
steveha Is there anyone home?
Alien Hunter Well, apparently she didn't need the wheelchair
Phlatus If anyone in this story can come up with an exoskeleton mobility device, it'd be Eos. Or get up and walk when the docs said she couldn't, for that matter.
Volk0v But why is there a wheelchair at the top of the stairs
Jono My bet is the house is built into the ground meaning 2nd floor is the ground floor, hence why the wheelchair would be there instead of the first floor
zhourahl Somehow I didn't expect to see Jonny again so soon.
Rock Painful... I want to know what happens next and what happened, darnit! >.
Rick Cameo appearance by Professor X? :)
Some Physicist Guy @Kid Cthulhu: I don't think she's the new Oracle, but would be interesting... Also just because there is a wheelchair doesn't mean the injury caused paralysis.
NEAto I cannot see the wheelchair at the top of the stairs in panel 2. Should it not be visible from the floor below?
Deof Movestofca I just thought of something. When she's happy, would that make a cheery Eos? Old McDonald had a farm, Eos, Eos, Oh?
Syd Come on now, I hear you're feeling down.
Ember Looks like Eos might be moving?

Phlatus You're right, NEAto, and what's that thing/those things hanging down from the landing right next to the top of the stairs in panel 2? Looks like five tubes, or ropes, or cables, and we just see them in #3 and #4 as well. Also, the mail slot to the left of the door in panel #1 is stuffed.
Wally Full mail slot and packages stacked on the porch. Unopened packages inside the entryway. It appears as though Eos hasn't been home for quite a while. Plus empty wheelchair at top of the stairs...Very surreal..
Dgaran Well I can ease your pain
steveha Get you on your feet again.
BayAreaBoy Relax... I'll need some information, first
BrentOGara This went from exciting fun buddy comic to tense emotional drama so *fast*... and yet, I'm even more invested in the story than before, so it's *working*!
Phlatus Tober, you're getting quite adept at tucking information/speculation fuel into the artwork. Johnny appears to have the access code to Eos's apartment. When was the last time they spoke? The unopened packages inside suggest Eos was alive and responsive when they were delivered, while the mail and parcels outside are more worrying (cops, EMTs, and firefighters would be concerned that the occupant was down or dead). The also tell us the stuff is inbound - it's unlikely she'd be having that many parcels delivered there if she was moving out. However, we know Eos is not only an intellectual genius but probabaly one hell of a practical engineer. What is all that stuff, and what the heck is she building? Whatever it is, the rigging or plumbing or wiring or whatever hanging from the landing is sure to be part of it. With time travel and perhaps even ancient gods already a theme in the story, we can't assume she needs to go through the door to leave the apartment. So far the story's been pretty much set in our reality with some sci-fi elements - buckle in and stand by for phase shift, folks.
PrimordialRageChick @Phlatus I bet she's building a time machine
PrimordialRageChick Just the basic facts, can you show me where it hurts?
